You conveyed the correction information as in Mauritius or anywhere around the world, cloth mask or 'diyed' mask has become a thing. As you mentioned, social distancing and proper hygiene is the best way to avoid catching the virus, especially if one is wearing a cloth mask. WHO has recommended to wear cloth masks to the general public but it is definitely not effective in protect us (https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/question-and-answers-hub/q-a-detail/q-a-on-covid-19-and-masks) .I agree that medical masks should be left for the people working directly with the covid patients but wearing any piece of cloth ,covering your mouth or nose is not enough. If one does not have the required mask to go out, I would recommend to stay at home because nowadays people are blessed with the internet and technology to order things directly at home. Also, we should be careful before buying fabric mask because people are touching the mask while sewing or packaging it. How can a consumer be sure that the mask was not touched by an infected people? I suggest making your own mask given that there are so many tutorials online to guide us. Just look for the most effective cloth.

Stay safe and stay at home!
